Following is a list of tools and readings that I believe could be helpful in a creative practitioner's work. I have used some of these in my projects and some others were co-developed by me to give back to the design community. Feel free to go through them and experiment with them.
If you have any queries or would like to talk about the following, drop me an email on jain.23komal@gmail.com

Six Thinking Hats
Six Thinking Hats, developed by Edward de Bono is an effective decision-making and problem-solving tool for teams. It involves wearing six metaphorical hats, each representing a different thinking perspective, such as logical, emotional, creative, and critical thinking. By consciously switching hats, teams can explore ideas, consider multiple viewpoints, and make more effective decisions.

Looking Back and Ahead
Looking Back and Ahead is an open-sourced early-career reflective thinking workshop.
It uses the U Journaling toolkit and Designing Your Life book to help participants go through a self-reflective process to access deeper levels of self-knowledge, and to connect this knowledge to concrete actions for personal and professional development.

Invisible Ink
Invisible Ink, a book by Brian McDonald is a powerful tool for anyone who wants to learn and understand how to build stories and their frameworks. The book turned out to be very useful for me while working on the Why are Mammals called Mammals?- graphical narrative project.

Discussion Room
Discussion Room is an online interview series on the Artwithintent Instagram Page. Guest speakers are invited to share their journey, inquiry, process, breakthroughs and learnings. The interviews intended to acknowledge 'how' and 'why' of creative practice equally. Post an instagram live interview, the video is edited and long-form documentation is uploaded on youtube. The transcript of the interview is then edited to become an article on medium.
I worked on the research, curation, planning and writing of the interviews.

Creative Producing Manifesto
As a part of Ars Electronica Festival 2021, I was selected to be one of the 22 creative producers from around the world to contribute to a creative producing manifesto. The manifesto aimed at developing divergent yet ethical grounded ideas on creative producing which act as northern light for the work we would do ahead.
The 6-week program was led by Lizzie Crouch (UK) and Nicholas Medvesck (USA). It involved deep conversations about the state of the world, how we want to relate to it and the people we work with, what do we want to advocate for and how do we process diverse views to create an equitable world/vision.

Bookmarked
Bookmarked is an open-source online library of recommendations by academic mentors from across disciplines and institutions. It includes books, articles, videos and many resources with links to access them.
The project was conceptualised and executed by me during my volunteering at Art with Intent, an online design community platform.
